Christmas Table Settings

So today I felt the notion to start Christmas decorating! Yes, I know it’s not even Thanksgiving but I couldn’t help myself! I usually wait until after, but for some reason this year I wanted to start early. I’ll just blame it on pregnancy and call it “Christmas Nesting.” While I’m not ready to share everything with you quite yet, I do want to show you our holiday table settings for our dinette. I love this dinnerware because it is so versatile! It is our everyday china but with a little holiday sparkle added! (;

Below I will share with you where everything is from and how I styled it. I’ll let you know just how easy it is to take ordinary settings from everyday dining to glittery, shiny, festive, holiday ready perfection!

Casablanca Square Placemats: Crate and Barrel
White Ruffle Centerpiece Bowl: Crate and Barrel
Very Merry Ball Ornaments: Crate and Barrel
Kincaid Flatware: Crate and Barrel
White Pearl Dinnerware: Crate and Barrel
Riedel Wine Glasses: William Sonoma
Waterford Napkins: Bed Bath and Beyond
Pearl Spiral Napkin Rings: Bed Bath and Beyond
Red Glitter Bows: Wal Mart

The key to this style is simplicity. I like to have simple neutral colors (in this case white) as my base and add pops of color and texture here and there. I could easily pull only two elements from this look and call it everyday dining. These two elements would be the decorative ornaments and the red glitter bows. The ornaments I picked up at Crate and Barrel last year around the holidays. While they did not really match my tree, I knew they had to go somewhere!  I feel like the various sizes and colors really pop in the white bowl and give this table an elegant yet fun holiday look! The napkin rings are actually from my spring settings but I used them here by adding miniature red glitter bows. Such an easy transition! They are literally 97 cents at Wal Mart for a package of 12! They come with a tiny wire on the back so they pretty much attach to anything you can think of! Around the holidays I use them all around the house. I add them to gifts, name tags, candles, and even as an embellishment on my dog’s collar! Other than those two additions, I just styled it as an everyday setting.

I have also started decorating the rest of the house this week so I will make sure and post pictures and details as soon as it is finished! I would love to hear your Christmas decor tips or ideas so please feel free to share them in the comments below!
